After dusk, taking a drive down any of the Island's country lanes may result in you being lucky enough to witness the enchanting beauty of the resident Owls. Barn Owls regularly perform their elegant aerial display in the spotlight of car headlights and will often ride along with you for some time before swooping back into the shadows.

When to see them?
Many species can be seen all year round whilst a few do migrate for the winter to warms climates such as Africa. But if you are particularly lucky you may be able to spot an Osprey as they are known to visit Newtown and Bembridge during the Autumn months.
