Another gem is the little Dartford Warbler, found locally along the south coast, with enthusiasts always eagerly on the look out for it. Other species you are likely to see include: the Blue Tit, Canada Geese, Mute Swans, Coots and Moorhens. Some of the rarities include: the Common Goldeneye, Great Crested Grebe, Water Rail, Golden Plover, Little Gull, Spoonbill, Nightingale and the Cuckoo. There are also several raptor species, covered in detail later in the guide, but include Harriers, Owls, Buzzards, and even the Osprey and the Red Kite have been spotted around the downs and the cliffs.
