Facilities : The National Trust has an information centre at Newtown with toilets and a car park. There are limited other facilities in the area apart from the old Town Hall which is now a museum. There are some places in the nearby area such as Porchfield, which has a traditional pub, the Sports Mans Rest.

Yarmouth, Newport and Cowes are not too far away though there is limited access to Newtown itself with regards public transport and this is only available in the summer. If you do not own or have access to a car it is best to organise a group or find out if any are operating in the area. Contact the National Trust for more details.
