Routes : BOTH ROUTES START IN THE NATIONAL TRUST CAR PARK BEHIND THE VISITOR POINT.

The Old Quay Loop (approx. 2 miles)
Park up at the National Trust Car Park opposite the Old Town Hall, from here follow the signs down to the Old Quay, en route is an excellent viewing hide (open 1st April – 30th September) which looks over Gull Island (artificially created bird nesting sanctuary). From here head across the meadow and meet up with the rickety single track footbridge that leads to the Old Quay. Follow the main footpath back along the creek until you reach the old stone bridge, from here head back up to the Old Town Hall to complete the loop.

Woodland Walk (approx. 2 miles)
Park up in the lay-by at the entrance to the wood, from here take the main path that meanders its way down through the woods, you will pass the old redundant Oyster Farm buildings and then step out of the woods onto the creek. From here you can walk along to the old seawall where on the end is a hide that is open all-year round. Due to the breaching of the seawall it is not possible to join up with the footpath that leads to the Old Quay so you will have to follow the same route back.
