Local Species : Newtown Creek has a very good selection of habitats ranging from salt flats and reeds to woods and meadow. This makes for fantastic bird and wildlife watching.

Several of the Island’s rarities are found here, including the Pintail, Goldeneye, Knot, Common Tern and Mediterranean Gull. Other species you may be lucky enough to see include: Little Egret, Heron, Great Crested Grebe, Brent Goose, Kestrel, Buzzard, Curlew, Plovers, and Barn Owl.
